NGO owner Lalit Shyam has lodged an FIR against Ranveer Singh. He said that nude pictures of Ranveer Singh embarrass women.
Lalit Shyam says Ranveer Singh should have deleted his photo from Instagram and Twitter.
IPC Sections 292, 293, 509, and 67A cases have been filed against Ranveer Singh.
Section 292:
Any book, magazine, or article in which anything shall be deemed to be genuine. This law can corrupt people's minds by seeing, hearing, and reading it.
Punishment: 2 years jail and 2000 fine for the first-time convict. For the second time, 5 years in jail and 5000 fines for the culprits.
Section 293:
If a person below the age of 20 sees and displays obscene material, a case is registered against him.
Punishment: 3 years jail and 2000 fine for the first-time convict. For the second time, 7 years in jail and 5000 fines for the culprits.
Section 509:
If any person disrespects the modesty of a woman, touches her, or sees any object which insults the shame of a woman, a case under this section is registered
Punishment: 3 years jail and fine for the convict.
Section 67(A):
If any person publishes or broadcasts material containing sexual acts, he may be punished
Punishment: 5 years jail and 5 lakh fine for the convict.
After Ranveer Singh, Nakul Mehta who is the main lead of the serial Bade "Achhe Lagte Hain", also got a nude photo shoot done.
