Why did Sonia Gandhi question for the 2nd time?

On Tuesday ED questioned Congress Parties President Sonia Gandhi for the second time in six days for a money laundering case.

ED officers quizzed Gandhi for six hours and also asked her to appear once again before the agency for the third round on Wednesday.

During Sonia Gandhi's questioning, her statement was recorded. According to the recording, Sonia Gandhi was asked 30 questions in six hours in which a 90-minute break was also given for lunch. The questioning started around 11 AM at the ED office in Central Delhi and ended at approx 7 PM. The Congress president reached the ED office with her Z+ armed security cover and was accompanied by Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. After that Rahul left the ED office to join the Congress protest but Priyanka stayed at the ED office.

Priyanka was in another room so she could meet her mother and provide her with medicine or medical assistance if needed.

On 21st July, Sonia Gandhi was questioned for the first time about the case.

The questioning continued for 2 hours and she replied to 28 questions.

She will be summoned again on Wednesday for the third time at the ED Office.


Congress party's Protest


Congress party's members and workers staged 'SATYAGRAHA' in several parts of the country to protest against the alleged misuse of central agencies.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and other members also came down for protest. 

Soon Sonia appears before the investigation at headquarters, MPs gather toward Gandhi's statue and march towards Parliament House in an attempt to hand over the memorandum signed by their opposition party. They were however stopped at Vijay Chowk and Rahul Gandhi Sat on the road.

Rahul who was being put on a police bus said, "India is the police state, Modi is the king…Discussions are not allowed in Parliament… I am not going anywhere. We want to go towards the Parliament House, but the police are not allowing us".

The Congress leaders were released after being detained for several hours.
