Why Shamshera movie release got delayed in 2018

Shamshera is an upcoming Indian action film, produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films and directed by Karan Malhotra. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Vaani Kapoor, Ronit Roy, Saurabh Shukla, and Ashutosh Rana in lead roles.

It is one of the most expensive movie and the budget of this film is 150 crores (US$20 million), Which released on 22 July 2022. The story follows the dacoit tribe and fights for freedom against British rule.

The film is going to be launched in May 2018 through a poster by Yash Raj Films, which features Ranbir Kapoor as the iconic character Shamshera. Sanjay Dutt was cast as the enemy, and Vaani Kapoor was signed on to play the female lead. To prepare for her role, She took professional training in Kathak and she has played the character of a dancer. Music in the film is given by Mithun Sharma.

Principal photography began in December 2018. The film was made in Film City, Goregaon with the efforts of around 300 workers and requires twice a month's preparation.

Shamshera will release in cinemas on 22 July 2022. It was originally planned to release in cinemas in December 2019 but got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was then rescheduled for June 2021, but the film was postponed to March 2022 due to the second wave of the pandemic. 

Now it is going to release worldwide on 22 July 2022. The film will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and IMAX cinemas. Let's get your ticket soon.
