Why India was banned in the FIFA World Cup 2022?

In FIFA you will find representations from all over the world, one of them is Praful Patel who used to represent India.

Prafulla Manohar Bhai Patel, an Indian politician.

His father, Manoharbhai Patel was an Indian National Congress leader who was elected to represent the Gondia Bhandara districts in Maharashtra.

On May 18, the sector of FIFA ban was imposed on AIFF(All India Football Federation), at that time the Supreme Court asked to remove Praful Patel from the post of AIFF President.

Because he is holding elections in December 2020 and has appointed a three-member Committee of Administrators (CoA), headed by apex court judge AR Dave, to manage the affairs of the organization.

FIFA said in a statement that it had made a case for suspending the AIFF due to excessive third-party interference and that the suspension would not be lifted until it started working together.

For the first time in its 85-year history, FIFA had to face a suspension. This decision of FIFA also took away from India the rights to host the Under-17 Women's World Cup to be held in October.

When the matter of sanctions by FIFA reached the Supreme Court, the CoA was dissolved. The Supreme Court on August 22 said that the Committee of Administrators (CoA) will not interfere in the Football Association of India (AIFF) affairs until further orders.

After that FIFA sector take a decision about it and they decided to remove banned.

Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur expressed happiness over Banned removal by tweeting,

Now the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup can be held as planned in India from October 11 to 30.
